FERA AT CLARIDGE'S

Top: Missguided

I'm going to share a little secret with you, I love lunch menus - there I said it! Seriously they are great, I'm not talking about pub grub I mean five star Michelin dining type of lunch menu. Whenever we get an opportunity my sister, bestie and I like to try out the lunch menus at swanky restaurants, they are a great way of sampling the food and experiencing fine dining at a fraction of the price. Allowing you to make an informed decision about if you would return and commit the big bucks to a full on evening meal.

This week we headed to Claridge's on a Friday afternoon to sample the lunch menu at Fera. We started the afternoon off with some bubbles, and took a look at the menu. Our waiter inquired about any allergies and took our orders. As we waited hors d'oeuvers were served, they looked lovely but not for my taste as they contained goats cheese, I hate goats cheese! An alternative was made for my bestie as she doesn't eat dairy and that was much nicer. Our starters followed shortly, which was salmon three ways on noodles and was very flavourful. The fish main was delicious served on a bed of kale in lobster cream, and finally finished off with a deconstructed apple cake and cinnamon ice cream. We washed the whole lot down with a few glasses of wine and being the afternoon it very quickly went to our heads. Coffee was swiftly ordered and finally we prepared to leave but not before we took a tour of the kitchen to see the inner workings of the restaurant and thank the staff for the lovely food.

P.s. Lunch and dinner menus at Claridges are £35 with a glass of champagne if you book here - your in on my secret now, thank me later xx
